What's the story with the TMate plug-in?

What is JetBrain's roadmap for it - an anonymous cul-de-sac?

I liked it so much I bought a copy, but all mention of it has disappeared from the IntelliJ web site, the online docs (such as they were) have vanished, and there has been no word about it from JetBrains.

C'mon guys, if you're discontinuing support for it, just say so; don't leave us in the dark like this.
