Remove the highlight on the active line

Is there a way to remove the highlight on the active line? I've searched through the settings, the internet in general, and this site specifically, and I don't see a way to remove it.
It's quite ugly and makes my code harder to read.

I found it while searching about how to change the cursor color. They use the word carat instead of cursor. Both settings use the word carat.
