How to turn off background compilation (Project Error Highlighting)?
已回答
Maybe my machine is too slow, but this continuous error checking/background
compilation is just killing IDEA.
I used to be able to have multiple files with errors in them, and correcting them
was never a problem - now IDEA simply does not respond; every keystroke is
accompanied by a 2-5 seconds delay while IDEA is checking files (as displayed on the status bar).
Any Setting UI to stop this? A property in one of the XML/.properties config files?
Cheers,
Bonny

Would it be useful if I sent a CPU snapshot file of IDEA during the freeze?
Where would that file be sent to - it's rather large.
Cheers,
Bonny
Please put it there:
ftp.intellij.net/upload

Thanks, Maxim.
In the meantime I've uploaded to Jira.
However, I think 5289 is behaving a lot better in this regards.
Finally, is there a way to turn this feature off?
Cheers,
Bonny

Please, guys, let us turn this off. I'm not using Demetra at the moment (deadline, things have to work), so I can't say I've really tried it properly, but... I hated this in Eclipse. One of the things I love about IDEA is that it lets me write code that doesn't have compile-time errors. I almost never have syntax errors when I compile, and I don't want my IDE using my resources telling me that.
When I'm not up against the wall, I'll give it a go (and this is a measure of the faith I have in Jetbrains to make it work), but I'm not optimistic.
This is a huge and DAILY problem for us.
This completele messes up the maven-frontend-plugin's functionality.
The run config tries to start the application before the aplication is compiled.
Hello Michael,
Don't you face this issue: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-224676 ?
