XP and EAP Issues

I am running Windows XP (Version 2002, SP2), IDEA #3277, jdk1.5.0_01, 1G RAM, Pentium 4.

In Debug mode, my CPU pegs between 55% and 70%. It is painfully slow. I have noodled with the java args and the system VM paging but to no avail. Does anyone have a work around for this?

IIRC a performance issue with debugging was present in IDEA #3277. Please download and try a newer build.

I've just had the same problem myself yesterday.
Please check out if you have field watchpoints or method breakpoints or some
conditional line breakpoints enabled. They're slowing the system down significantly.
Turn them of if they're no longer necessary.
