2 screens (and MacOS X)
I've just (re)connected a 2nd screen to my PowerBook, and I noticed a
big problem, when IDEA and the mouse is not in the main screen:
- menus drop down in the main screen
- tooltips show up in the main screen
Is this Sun, Apple, or IDEA's fault?

Hello Alain,
I have the same problem on windows xp when IDEA starts directly on the second
screen (it remembers its position when shut down). However, if it starts
on the primary screen and then I move it to the second one, things are OK
(most of the time, there are still some pop-ups and dialogs that insist on
showing up on the primary screen, not over the main window, but so's life...).
I've reported such problems over the last couple of years, but the answer
was that this is a jdk problem.

Did you try moving in back to screen 1 ?
Here is what I can see:
- Open IDEA in screen 1,
- open menu 'File' => OK
- Move IDEA to screen 2
- open menu 'File' => OK
- Move IDEA to screen 1
- open menu 'File' => PROBLEM: it drops down in screen 2

Apple insists that this is 3rd party application fault. Filed this bug in a variety of venues.

Yeah it seems this problem persists no matter what OS one is using, so I
don't see how it's a JVM problem.
