Defaut path for new projects?
Is there a way to alter the default path that is displayed/offered when you create a new project?
If so, where is the config option?
If not, could such an option be added?

There currently is no such setting. There are open tracker items for having such a setting, and for simply using the last directory where a project was created as the start of the search (my personal preference). Last time I checked neither item is planned for Aurora.
