Oracle submits standards proposal to Java group

So far, Oracle has announced support for its proposed "Standard Extension API for Integrated Development Environments" from only
three vendors -- Sun, Macromedia Inc. and JetBrains Inc.
-
My question is will you change IDEA's open API completely due to the Oracle proposal ?
If not could you please explain what does this article mean ?

Personally I am skeptical of this going anywhere.
Unless we want all our IDE's to look just like Eclipse (which some
think is a good idea). An open API is very tied in with the architecture
of the IDE.
