Deleting opposite bracket

In Idea is there a way to delete the opposite bracket of a java block
? In other word the contrary of Surrond With ?

....
and the "Unnecessary code block" inspection has a quickfix that removes
useless pairs of brackets.

16 years later and I was looking for the same functionnality which is provided with `CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE`

The action is called Code | Unwrap/Remove, see also https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/working-with-source-code.html#unwrap_remove_statement .
