Tiger FCS support?
I had purposely avoided using Tiger with IDEA until it went gold, but, since that happened today, I downloaded it and want to start using it.
However, when I go to "Settings/IDE/JDK & Global Libraries" and try to create a new JDK and point at the directory where I installed Tiger (c:\j2sdk1.5.0), IDEA replies with an error dialog that says "The directory selected is not a valid JDK home".
I'm sure it's something stupid that I've done, but, what is it??
Regards,
Danny

Strange, works fine here.
Please try to reinstall the jdk.

I tried it on three separate machines, all with the same result. Did you try it using the new FCS of Tiger, and the same install location (c:\j2sdk1.5.0)?
Also, FYI, I checked idea.log for some related information, but found nothing.

Works fine for me.
Downloaded the latest JDK from Sun today and installed it at C:\Program
Files\Java\jdk1.5.0. Pointing to that as the Home directory set up the
JDK for use. Set up a basic project to use the new JDK, compiled and
ran. No problems.
Hi,
I saw the behaviour on OS X 10.4 (Tiger) with installed Mac JDK 5.0.
When I reinstalled the Aplle Java Tiger Release, everything was fine.
