In Germany it is usual, that after going 12 (or 13) years to school, you
go one year to military and than study at least 4 or 5 years (a lot of
people study 7 or 8 years). Then you are at least 25 years with no or
very less practical experience.

In my country, we have 10 years in school, then we have choose - go to high
school (university or institute), or go to 2 years in army.
First way may get high school education to 23 years, second way may get no
results - after army peoples wan't or can't to continue studing as usual.
So, in my 23, me is only end-of-university man, and can't know more
expertise - i'm at start working with technologies.
But in my case, i had ignore my university education since 2 years studing
in it. I going to work, becouse ... we study techologies of past 10-20
years.
Now i working with my interesting technologies for 3 years and studing in
background :)
But i realy know, that you have more expertise that me, sure!
