IDEA and JAR?

i'm pretty sure i once saw it somewhere ..

No you didn't :) because it's not there...

but how the hell do i create a
jar-file out of my output directory? im using idea3.0.1 but cannot seem to
find it anywhere.

Past suggestions to the list:

Create an external tool that receives the ouptut path as a parameter and
creates the jar.

Use an ant task.
