intellij update/patch to new version does not work under unbuntu
everything in the title.
i have an installation running under windows (patches work)
i am running a simple unzipped intellij idea under ubuntu which detects and downloads patches and then asks for a restart - but all i get is the exact same version as before.
how can i fix it? will jetbrains fix it? do i have to manually download each new build until the end of time?

Please provide all the logs from IDEA (zip and send the logs folder).

Do you have idea_updater.log and idea_updater_error.log files anywhere on your disk? Check the tmp folder and your user home folder. Please attach these files as well.
