How to open a project on a network drive in 3.1

In rubymine version 3.1 I am having a problem where I cannot open my project that is stored on a network drive.  In version 3.0.1 I was able to go File->open directory and the dialog would have the network drives to choose from.  In the new version, that dialog does not show the network drives.  I did import the settings when installing and the network drives are definitely online.  Any suggestions?
