Do you have any news on IntelliJ IDEA Ruby plugin mentioned in Team Server/JS support video? Is there a public SVN repository set up?
Thanks,
Michael

There's no much useful functionality in the plugin yet except the ruby parser. We're expecting to show something to public in a couple of weeks - right now it's not of much use if you're not going to develop it with us.

IMHO it would be better if the python plug-in would get more attention for now.
It would be good to have at least one that is "complete".

As already explained a number of times, the Python plugin is my personal project, and the attention dedicated to it is purely a matter of my spare time and contributions from other developers. JetBrains has no involvement in its development, and as far as I know, doesn't plan to.
Thus, the "attention" is totally unrelated. Also, I expect that the Ruby plugin will quickly reach and surpass the completeness level of the Python plugin.

Yes, I'm aware of this, and I don't think this was the discussion theme :). It is fantastic that it was your idea, but IMHO in the actual "scene" of Language API implementations every improvement is good :).

IMHO it is related, as this is the main problem: unless Jetrains won't give more attention to good implementations it can't expect from the community to do more.
Also, I expect that the Ruby plugin will quickly reach and surpass the completeness level of the Python plugin.
Well, that's sad (for PythonID I mean). I thought the Python plug-in could at least overpass it's Eclipse competitor: http://pydev.sourceforge.net/ :(.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply. Stay in touch with this newsgroup on it ;)
Is any news on this topic?? Probably better to share code for early-adopters and we will try to guide through user requirements or even help you in development..
We're still working on it. We've basically got parsing and some misc stuff (structure view, run configuration, Ruby SDK, brace matching). As soon as we've got a formatter (which implies smart indent) we'll publish something for you to try.

Sounds great, can't wait to try it.
