Maven Profiles not detected when in parent pom

Hi,

we have all our profiles in the company parent pom.xml.
it seems that they're not detected in 8975.

I've tried to add -Pprofile to the VM parameter, but it doesn't work.

Do you have the parent pom among the imported projects?
Did it work in previous versions?

I don't have the parent-pom among the imported projects. I don't think I have ever seen it imported in the 7 versions.

It has always be like this before. Only if the profiles are included in the main pom or in a profiles.xml will they be detected by IDEA as far as as I understand.

There is a corresponding issue for the problem: http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEADEV-23952. It will be implemented later.
