We'll try to make the changes that are absolutely necessary but we can't promise there won't be any. Do you have some particular API on mind?
No specific API - I was contemplating trying to port a 7.0 plugin to 8.0 (which I know right now wont even compile).
At what point do you freeze the API - RC?
The closer the release date => the lower chances the API will be changed. And yes it must be stopship kind of issue with no other ways to fix to change an API after RC.
