Cleaning Up / Resetting ~/.IntelliJIdea70
On the hunch that the wacky behavior I've started seeing just today in both 7255 and 7269 reflects some sort of corruption in the files in my ~/.IntelliJIdea70/system directory, I'd like to remove anything non-essential (i.e., things that IDEA will reconstruct for me).
Will someone tell me which directories I can remove or the directories whose content I can remove without irrevocable loss of functionality? (I do have a JetGroovy installed manually rather than via the plug-in manager, but I can re-install that, if necessary.) Everything else was installed or added on using the plug-in manager.
Thanks.

You can delete your system directory, although you might start with system/caches first. If you delete all of system directory, then you will lose the local history (system/LocalHistory). If you don't care about that, then it doesn't matter.
I know many people (and that includes me) delete the "system" folder when downloading a new build.
I delete my "system" folder every time I install a new EAP build to be safe.
