No in-program update

Checking for updates today, I saw a new version, but the intellij idea cannot update itself and I must manualy download the dmg file.
I remember that other jetbrains programs do update themselves without user interference.
This not the case with IntelliJ Idea , but why?

We disable patch update for Mac because its current implementation
causes digital signature verification problem (e.g. Subversion password
is not stored), we will enable it once we have more robust patch update
implementation
