When I take a look at the Road Map of the IntelliJ IDEA Development project, it looks like you are following my suggestion. But when I take a look at the Change Log, I do not see a version "Build 3235". Haven't you released a new build?
It's something slightly different thing we decided to try. Those iterations are date fixed, one per week while builds might be released more ofthen (or less often). We're experimenting :)

It looks like 3235 allows stock plugins to use the automated error-reporting as well. Which presumably means that IG and IPP exceptions eventually get auto-routed to my mailbox. Woo-hoo!
Yep, that's true. 3235 offers any plugin an ability to provide means for the user to report their problems to proper place. For IG and IPP we decided it would be ITN tracker. The plugging engine uses new extensions scheme, which we'd like to test a bit ourselves before opening to wide audience. Though, it seem to be working actually :)

Hi Maxim, just curious: Is Idea's plugin system completely home brewn or do you use some standard frameworks? At least I noticed some references to PicoContainer. It's just that I am in the position right now to introduce a new pluggable component structure to our own app. I had a look at Kopflerfish (osgi), HiveMind and a couple of others, but can't really decide, yet.

We started to use picocontainer relatively recently. Quite useful stuff actually.
