Open Source and Ultimate Editions On Same Machine?
I've downloaded installed the EAP for Ultimate. Before I download the open source edition, is it possible to run both the Ultimate and Open Source editions of IDEA on the same machine?
I'm worried that shared caches, configuration, etc.would be a mess.

If you're running the same build of Community Edition and Ultimate Edition, you can even run them with the same config/system directories - there shouldn't be any conflicts.
Alternatively, you can edit idea.properties and specify different config and system directories for the two versions.
