Exclude directories starting with a dot

Hello jan,

does anyone know how to exclude directories starting with a dot? I'm
using git and intellij gets reals slow while parsing the files in
".git". I can not chose the ".git" directory in the the list of
directories to eclude ans setting the path in the ".iml" file does not
work either... Any ideas would be nice

What do you mean by "cannot choose"? Go to Settings | General and add ".git"
to the "Files and folders to ignore" list.
