I-beam cursor, black bg, and Idea for OSX

Hello,

I found this post from a few years ago and was wondering if there was a fix or a property I can set or anything that addresses this issue?

Basically, if you set your code bg to black, the mouse cursor does not change to a contrasting enough color to be visible. This is only on MacOSX, I've used the black bg on Linux and Windows just fine.
