setup for dual monitors
I have dual monitors @ 1024x768. I find that 1024x768 is cumbersome for an IDE (1280x1024 is fine). But using Netbeans for the last 6 months I find that using MDI, I can put the editor on one monitor, and the rest of the IDE on another.
I am doing a trial of Intelli J IDEA, and find I get a littel claustrophobic. It appears that the IDE does not support MDI. Any tips from dual monitor users, using Intelli J?
Thanks,

You can detach all of the toolwindows (Project, Structure, Ant Build,
Todo, etc.), and move them to your other screen.
, and there is backlogged request for
"Make splitted editors sets floatable."

It works pretty good for me. I have 2 monitors set-up for 1600x1200. I
work mainly in one window. I float some windows to the other window
when I need to see search results, usages, etc and still work on code.
