Always show line numbers?
I always want line numbers displayed, but can't seem to find a way to make this "sticky"..every time I open a new file, I have to re-enable it.
Am I missing something obvious?

Yes. Change them in Settings (type "line mumbers" into search box) instead of main menu to make it global.
