IdeaVim Command History in Remote Setting does not work

Hello,
I am using PyCharm and debugging remotely via SSH. When I have IdeaVim enabled, I can not retrieve the history in the debug console by pressing down/up arrow. As soon as I disable IdeaVim, I am able to do so.
When I use PyCharm locally, it does work as expected.
Is this issue known or is there a workaround for this?

I am also having this issue, and have yet to find a solution of any kind. It's rather frustrating.
