UI text garbled in IntelliJ Debian after waking

After waking my Debian VM the IntelliJ UI text is missing, only showing few letters. The same happens to my the desktop icons which I can fix with Run plasmashell --replace. Is there are a reload UI command for IntelliJ. I've tried 

• Ctrl + Shift + A to open the Search Everywhere dialog.
• Search for Reload Window and select it.

Closing and opening IntelliJ also fixes the issues, but I am looking for a faster fix.
