pycharm not recognizing built in imports on remote interpreter

Everything executes fine, eg I can run the file in the IDE with no issues, but the IDE is not recognizing built in python modules for some reason. The interpreter is on a remote SSH.

This issue requires thorough investigation, please create an issue on YouTrack and attach all relevant information (including logs from Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data) for quicker resolution.
