Many plugins seem to have bad version dependencies

On upgrading some plugins today I getting errors of the form
Plugin "Big Data Tools Core" was not installed: Downloaded version is incompatible with the current IDE: Plugin 'Big Data Tools Core' (version '252.19874.12') is not compatible with the current version of the IDE, because it requires build 252.19874 or newer but the current build is IU-251.26094.121
But build 252.19874 is newer than even the EAP.
Is something broke?
