Concern Regarding Low AI Pro Quota in IntelliJ Ultimate – Request for Clarification & Solution

Hi Team,

I have purchased 40 IntelliJ Ultimate licenses along with AI Pro, but we are facing a significant issue regarding the AI Pro quota. The current quota is extremely limited—our developers are consuming their allowance within just a week. As a result, they are unable to use AI Pro or Junie for the remaining 23 days of the month, which is impacting productivity across the team.

Additionally, one of the major concerns is that JetBrains does not disclose the exact number of tokens or units allocated per month. Since the quota is displayed only as a percentage, we have no clarity on how much capacity we actually have, and therefore cannot plan or manage usage effectively.

This limited quota is considerably lower compared to similar AI tools available in the market.

Request:

  • Please check and confirm the actual monthly token allocation per user or license.
  • Provide any solution or option to increase or extend the quota as needed.
  • Share guidelines on best practices for usage optimization within the current limits.

Without a resolution, our team's productivity will continue to be affected for the remainder of the month.

While JetBrains suggests upgrading to AI Ultimate for a higher quota or utilizing local models to save cloud tokens, the current AI Pro tier appears insufficient for intensive use, forcing teams to wait for monthly resets or seek direct support for extensions, which aren't guaranteed for this tier.
