Jupyter Notebook support for free version of PyCharm?

I would expect the unified version of PyCharm to support editing Jupyter Notebooks without Pro subscription?

=> Could JetBrains please clarify in the feature matrix if editing should work for free or not?

If there is a possible issue with settings/config files, what folders should I delete?
I tried to delete .idea folder of my project but it did not help.

Hi Stefan Eidelloth, this is expected behavior: notebook editing is available only in the Professional edition of PyCharm.
You can find more details in this article: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/pycharm/jupyter-notebook-preview-in-pycharm-community.html

Hm. Then I find this misleading:

Alternatively, you can start using unified PyCharm and get access to all the familiar Community edition features for free, along with new enhancements like built-in Jupyter Notebook support.

Seems to work now without Pro Account. (Was a config issue about outdated vm options on my side, I guess.)

Stefan Eidelloth, I apologize for the confusion.

Core features (formerly part of the Community edition) plus Jupyter support remain free. I’ll reach out to our team to help clarify this in the documentation.
