Can't login to activate?

I'm trying to login for the “free for non-commercial use” but WAS just keeps telling me either the ports it uses are in use (they're not), or another auth is in process (it isn't).

I've tried just about everything:

  • Disabled windows firewall
  • Examined all occupied ports to confirm the mentioned ones aren't in use (they're not)
  • Pinged and nslookup'd account.jetbrains.com, and other domains to make sure I can connect to then (I can)
  • Checked Hosts file for anything jetbrains related (nothing); deleted the entire contents of the Hosts file.
  • In both jetbrains_client64.exe.vmoptions & webstorm64.exe.vmoptions added “-Djba.http.proxy=direct” to force any proxy bypass just in case there might be some magical, invisible proxy happening on my machine. (still doesn't work)
  • Logged in via the JB website with my JB account just to make sure that works (it does)

Not sure what else I'm expected to do, but I can't use WAS at all until I get past this?

Looks like a winsock reset did it. I also added a quick note to that help page you linked.
