Bidi Text Base Direction seems to be broken

I can't use the last two EAP builds because the editing experience is worse. When i start editing the cursor remains at its current position and the text is inserted right from the cursor. The result is, for example, if i enter OFFER_MODULE then ELUDOM_REFFO is inserted. It seems that IntelliJ thinks i use a language like arabic. I tried to change the text direction via “View/Bidi Text Base Direction” but with no effect. Is there another configuration i can try or is this a bug? Another thing i found was that if i press Ctrl-Z twice on the first hit an undo is done and on the second hit a message box with “Cannot Redo” appears.
