Unable to write in modal windows to create new files
Hi,
I cannot write in modal windows to create new files. When I try to create a new file (New → Java Class) it opens up but i cannot type in there. Typing in the rest of the IDE works fine.

As you can see on the video the modal window is in focus and I can type anywhere else in the editor. The issue is persistent across all directories and all projects.

The problem looks like a focus/keyboard bug in the desktop environment (COSMIC/Pop!_OS, Wayland + XWayland). Please try the following steps:
-Dawt.toolkit.name=WLToolkitAfter following the steps provided, please check if the problem reappears and let us know the result.

I have had the same problem on Fedora Workstation. The same solution worked for me
Amazing, I'm on pop_os 24.04 as well, i was having the same issue and other issues related to window placement and opening projects in new windows, doing this actually solved everything ! Thanks a lot
