I want to customize the display format for YEAR columns to show only 'yyyy'.

Have you already tried configuring Custom Formats in File | Settings | Database | Data Editor and Viewer and setting Date to yyyy?

If I do that, it will globally set the format for all Date types to 'yyyy'. I only want to apply this specific 'YYYY' format to the dedicated MySQL YEAR column.
