turn off hint balloon

i would really like to be able to turn of the hint(?) balloons that keep popping up onto the screen. i like that there are the little warnings along the side of the editor window, yet when i'm typing something out and this damn thing comes onto my screen, especially if i'm at the top of the editor window.
please help.

You could disable "Auto-display parameter info" option in "Settings | Editor | General | Code Completion"
