Ctrl-click but open file in opposite pane.

I'm working with a vertical split, in an editor within the top pane I ctrl-click on a method that is defined in a different file. Instead of opening that file up in a tab within the top pane, I'd like it directed to the bottom pane such that I can inspect both files at the same time and go back to the original file easily.

Is this possible using a keyboard/mouse combo?
