PHPStorm crashing Windows 10
Hello everyone,
PHPStorm was running great on my Windows Computer.
Since in reinstalled Windows 10 PHPStorm is not working well anymore. It crashes frequently, the Window just closes and i get error log Files.
Crashes occure when i open a project directory while indexing.
I installed the latest Version of PHPStorm and Version 2017.3.I tried Java 7 and some Java 8 Versions.
Same results everytime.
All Log Files start with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.

Could you run http://www.memtest86.com/ to ensure that RAM is fine and healthy?
Did you try to disable Windows Defender and other security features like Exploit Protection (Settings - Updates & Security - Windows Security - Virus and Threat Protection - App & Browser Control - Exploit Protection)?
We've seen similar issues but it looks more like Java/OS thing rather than PhpStorm/Java.

I made some observations about this problem.
It emerged that it has something to do with uefi BIOS Settings. After i changed "System Performance" settings back to default the Problem disappeared.
I don't know why but my Problem is solved!
