Building symbols delay - 15 - 45 seconds. Can it be cached?

Every time I start a new project, vie File -> New Project choosing C++ Executable C++11. There is a significant delay while CLion is building symbols. The delay can be anywhere from 15 seconds to 45 seconds. Can this information be cached to avoid the delay every time?
The delay seems to be the same whether I use Xcode or gnu as my C++ toolchain (under Mac OS 10.12.6, CLion 2017.3.4)

Do you mean to cache it from one project and then apply to other projects? It's not possible I'm afraid.
45 seconds is indeed too long for the default "Hello, World!" project. Could you please try CLion 2018.2 EAP? If building symbols still takes so much time for "Hello, World!" in CLion 2018.2 EAP, please capture a CPU snapshot and send it to clion-support at jetbrains.com. Please also add the link to this thread in the email. Thank you in advance.
