tool tips get in the way of typing

seems like these pop up tool tips are too close to the caret - they obscure what i'm trying to look at or click on ... and just get in the way
can you make them less annoying?

yes - those issues are what I'm seeing too .. tooltips should not obscure the mouse pointer ...
can you fix it or is there a way to disable these tips?
You can add -Dide.disable.editor.tooltips=true in Help | Edit Custom VM Options and restart IntelliJ IDEA.
