PyCharm closed unexpectedly, lost 2 hours of editing

I've been using PyCharm for 5 years and this is a new one. Latest version 2019.1.1.

I had 2 projects open in different windows and was editing for a couple of hours when out of the blue both Windows disappeared, then reloaded on their own, however most of the changes I made were no longer there. 

I then got paranoid and pushed changes to my git repo every 5 minutes...
