short cut to activate the special variables pane

Alt+C activates the console,

and esc brings one back to the editor.

but how can I activate the variables frame so I can create a shortcut with the keyboard

so I can begin typing and searching for a variable following that shortcut?

and not have to move my mouse.

ideally the same shortcut would activate the variables pane, during a debugging session

so the keyboard shortcut could be used for both debugging and normal python console use.
