Save console output to file doesn't work with build and run using gradle.

I'm seeing that the 'Save console output to file' setting in Run/Debug Configurations doesn't work when Gradle setting 'Build and run using:' is set to Gradle. It does work when set to IntelliJ IDEA.

Is this a known issue? I've reproduced this with ideaIC-2019.2.4, ideaIC-2019.3.5, ideaIC-2020.2, and on 2 different systems.
