IDEA master password
已回答
I have configured master password in Settings -> Appearance & Behavior -> System Settings -> Passwords -> In KeePass -> cog icon -> Set master password...
However, when I restart IDEA, it doesn't ask me to enter the master password. Does it mean that tjhe master password is stored somewhere on my computer and entire passwords database can be compromised?
Is there a way to make IDEA prompt master password on startup?

Hi - if you are on Windows, and the 'Encrypt with OS user credentials' checkbox was selected when you set up the master password, the master password itself will be stored in the password database encrypted (your Windows logon credentials will be used for encryption). As a result, IntelliJ IDEA won't ask you for the master password when accessing the password database.
I don’t really remember if there was such checkbox. Is there a way to uncheck it somehow?
I have rechecked - there is no such checkbox.
I switched to "forget passwords", deleted c.pwd and c.kdbx files and restarted IDEA.
Then I switched back to store passwords in KeePass. An "Change master password" option switched to "Set master password", so I assume I have reset state correctly.
Now, when I click "Set master password" button, IDEA prompts just for the password and there isn't any checkboxes on that dialog.
Not at the moment as it turns out.
The 'Set Master Password' dialog should actually look different and have more options.
