Pycharm community 2021.1 linux only types in caps

It seems the the IDE only types in capital letters. If I press the shift key it doesn't type anything for the A-Z keys. Other keys seems to work. Is this a keymap issue?

Does it affect only PyCharm or other Java Swing apps as well? Please test with JEdit and NetBeans.
What's your system keyboard layout and regional settings?
