Can NerdCTL be Used in Place of Docker in IntelliJ

Due to the Docker requiring companies to pay per user. My company is using NerdCTL. It has the same API as Docker. Is there a way to direct IntelliJ's Docker calls to NerdCTL?
I can run NerdCTL in the terminal. The issue comes when I want to run the docker Configuration. It fails.

If it provides the same API, you can specify the connection settings at Settings (Preferences on macOS) | Build, Execution, Deployment | Docker | TCP socket.
