Can't select main class when build artifact.

When I go to File -> Project Structure -> Build Artifacts -> + -> JAR -> when I want to select the main class it doesn't show up, it says can't find main class.

Hello,

Have you tried to type class name in search field? Is it possible to provide sample project example for investigation? It works fine on my side.

I couldn't reproduce the issue on my side using the latest version of IntelliJ IDEA – 2026.1.3 (https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download/).
Could you please provide additional data for investigation of this problem:

  1. A minimal sample project that reproduces this problem. It’ll help us to reproduce the same scenario and investigate it 
  2. IDE logs collected after reproducing this issue (Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data). So we can check internal errors/exceptions and more information about your environment.
  3. Upload all files securely to our server https://uploads.jetbrains.com/ and provide us with the Upload ID. The uploaded data will be accessible only to our team and will be used solely for investigating this issue.
