Hide/suppress background tasks window

Is there a way to prevent the background tasks popup from appearing? For some plugins such as SonarLint it pops up on every file, and partially covers the main editor window until the processes finish. I can click on 'Hide Processes', but that only applies to the currently running processes.

If it occurs only for a plug-in, please report it to the plug-in developer so that they make the tasks run in background without a popup by default.
This popup is a UX abomination - it is supremely annoying, and shows for plenty of things that aren't plugins. If there is a way to permanently disable the popup, what is it? And if there isn't, there needs to be an option to do so.

Try main menu -> Window -> Background Tasks -> clear the option to "Auto Show".
If it still shows after that, please provide an example, preferably with a screenshot.
Clearing the Auto Show fixed the problem for me, thank you.
This worked for me as well. It must have been turned on by a Rider update, because I never toggled this.
