Same here on OS-X 10.8.4 - when I open a project from the splash screen, nothing happens. No esoteric plugins except Scala and Play 2 installed.Peter

Followup: PyCharm 5 EAP behaves like Webstorm 11 EAP, i.e. the splash screen is too small at first, then jumps to a clipped version of the right size - but the IDE itself renders ok. Really strange...
