Sorry dude, but I personally wouldn't allow any tool to optimize my code without any reason. If profiler shows up a bottleneck - I can always tune it manually.

But like I said above - the dynamic image resizing is the main issue here. Nobody answered me how does JEdit do it - does it resize the image when the window is resized ?
