Hi, First of all, make sure you are not using Vim (check Tools | Vim Emulator). Then check your Keymap, maybe you have some conflicts for the delete button.

Hi, It looks like PyCharm tries to change read-only status, but doesn't have permissions to do so. You could try starting PyCharm from terminal with root permissions and see if it helps.
